OUR PROJECTS
KAKATAR Group is executing several infrastructural development projects across Nigeria. Together with our JV partners, Gunsayil, we are implementing several projects of the Federal Government of Nigeria and The World Bank in the remote communities of Kainji, Dadin-Kowa, Alluwari, Saleri communities in the states of Niger, Gombe and Jigawa to improve the quality of Life of people living in the rural communities.
THE TRIMING IRRIGATION
PROJECT IN GOMBE
In November 2019, the World Bank requested us to execute the rehabilitation and expansion of Dadin-Kowa Irrigation Scheme (DKIS) of 2000Ha in Dadin-Kowa community of Gombe State, under the Bank’s Transformation Irrigation Management Projects in Nigeria – TRIMING PROJECT. This project is being implemented jointly with our Turkey-based partners GUNSAYIL INSAAT TICARET VE SANAYIL LTD STI.
We are happy to implement this project because it meets one of Kakatar’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals, which is in tune with that of the World Bank – to improve the quality of Life of rural dwellers.
KAINJI DAM
WATER SPILLWAY
KAKATAR is executing underwater repairs of the Kainji Dam Water Spillway in Niger State. This project will help to improve sustainable water and hydro-power supply to living homes across Nigeria, thereby improving the quality of life of Nigerians.
RIVER TRAINING AND DYKES FORMATION IN JIGAWA
In January 2018, based on our application, the World Bank asked us to help implement its River Training Works in the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin, in Jigawa State, Nigeria. This project involves building of Dyke Corridors for Alluwari and Saleri communities, as well as 98Km River Channelling. We are happy to implement this project because it impacts people who are in need. Also, it will help the communities move up the social ladder by alleviating poverty.
